Everytime i throw an ultra ball at moltres, aticuno, or zapdos it tells me i missed the pokemon. I dont know what im doing wrong. Top Voted Answer.
I caught a Zapdos with a great ball and it wasn't asleep or anything. I used about 10 balls and had 9 misses, so just come well stocked. User Info: spookdemon.

I whittled it down to almost no hp, and caught it on like the 4th or 5th great ball. I've never had that kind of luck before!
